Amy Ballard is with the Office of Architectural History and Historic Preservation, Smithsonian Institution. She serves as historic preservation specialist, reviewing all Smithsonian design and construction projects for historic preservation compliance.  Ms. Ballard was a docent at Hillwood Museum, Washington, D.C. and has traveled to Russia numerous times. She has brought two Russian-related exhibits to the Smithsonian, “The Art of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrova,” and “In the Russian Style,” an exhibit of Russian art from the Tretyakov Gallery and the Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis
